The couple, originally from Bihar, had relocated to Bengaluru after entering into a second marriage and were both employed at a garments factory. Reports indicate that Sanjay frequently assaulted Sonali, especially after consuming alcohol, leading her to consider separation. During the altercation, he allegedly threatened her life while holding a knife to her neck. Fortunately, local residents witnessed the incident and bravely intervened, overpowering Sanjay and rescuing Sonali before handing him over to the authorities. The police have registered a non-cognizable report at the Madanayakanahalli Police Station and provided counseling to the couple post-incident.
