In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Srinagar Police has attached movable and immovable properties valued at over ₹4 crore under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. This operation is part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan campaign. The recent actions included the demolition of a three-storey house in the Renawari area and the attachment of various assets linked to narcotics offenders. Notably, a double-storey house owned by Aadil Ahmad Dhobi and vehicles associated with other accused individuals were among the properties seized. The police emphasized that these actions aim to dismantle the financial structures supporting drug trafficking in the region. Additionally, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has been actively promoting the anti-drug campaign, reporting substantial arrests and property seizures over the past weeks. The police reiterated their commitment to ensuring that crime does not pay and that drug traffickers are deprived of their illegal gains.
