Srinagar Police, in collaboration with the Revenue Department, have intensified their efforts against drug trafficking by demolishing an illegal three-storeyed property valued at approximately ₹2 crore. The structure belonged to Sheikh Tasaduq, a known drug peddler involved in multiple cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The police confirmed that the property was constructed on State land and financed through profits from illegal drug trade. This demolition is part of the broader Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan, which aims to dismantle the financial infrastructure of drug trafficking networks. Over the past 56 days, authorities have registered 878 FIRs and arrested 945 individuals linked to drug smuggling. Additionally, they have taken action against 86 illegal properties and attached 119 immovable assets associated with narcotics operations. The campaign reflects a comprehensive approach to combat drug-related crimes and ensure accountability for those involved.
