Sony's new Reon Pocket Pro Plus is an upgraded version of its wearable air conditioner, designed to provide enhanced cooling comfort. Launched after years of development, the device utilizes the Peltier effect to deliver cooling directly at the base of the neck. This latest model boasts a 20% increase in cooling performance, allowing it to maintain lower temperatures more effectively. The Reon Pocket Pro Plus can run for up to 10 hours on its second-highest setting and features an improved cooling algorithm that better monitors temperature fluctuations. Additionally, the device is designed for greater stability with new fins that enhance its fit on the neck. It also comes with a smaller second-generation Pocket Tag, which tracks ambient temperature and humidity to optimize cooling. Priced at £199 in the UK and €220 in Europe, the device will be available through Sony's online store and major retailers, though US availability is yet to be announced.
