In a tragic incident near the Atal Setu toll plaza in Navi Mumbai, India, a dumper driver, Mohammad Afshar Mahboob Ahmed, aged 34, was killed after a speeding car crashed into his vehicle, which was stalled due to a punctured rear tyre. His helper, Altaf Alam Naseebullah Mujawar, aged 25, was injured while attempting to alert oncoming traffic and fix the tyre. The accident occurred around 8:30 PM on Wednesday. Mujawar reported that they discovered the vehicle's jack was defective while trying to change the tyre. Ahmed was coordinating with the vehicle owner for a replacement jack when the collision happened, resulting in severe head injuries for Ahmed, who was later declared dead at MGM Hospital in Kamothe. The car driver also sustained injuries. The Ulwe police have registered a case for rash and negligent driving and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
