In a tragic incident in Mahoba district, Uttar Pradesh, two children, Ritesh (7) and Aryan (8), drowned in Urmil Dam while bathing. The incident occurred around 4:30 PM on Thursday in Pipra Maf village. A police officer, Circle Officer Deepak Dubey, reported that the local police were alerted around 7:30 PM and quickly initiated a search and rescue operation with divers. The children had been bathing near the dam when they slipped and fell into deep water. The incident was brought to light by a four-year-old girl who informed the family. The bodies of both children were recovered, and inquest proceedings have been initiated, with the bodies sent for postmortem examination. Further legal action is being pursued in connection with the incident.
