The Mysuru and Chamarajanagar District Congress Committees have adopted a resolution recommending B.J. Vijay Kumar, the president of the Mysuru Rural District Congress Committee, for nomination to the Legislative Council. This recommendation was made during a meeting attended by various legislators and party members, highlighting Kumar's 25 years of dedicated service to the Congress party. MLC Yathindra Siddaramaiah emphasized Kumar's significant contributions and support throughout his political career, particularly when he entered politics in 2016. Other local MLAs, including Tanveer Sait and D. Ravishankar, also acknowledged Kumar's hard work and expressed confidence that the party would recognize his efforts by granting him a seat in either the Legislative Council or the Rajya Sabha. The resolution has been sent to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the party high command for further consideration.
