On Sunday, VD Satheesan, Kerala's Chief Minister-designate, announced the new cabinet ahead of the swearing-in ceremony set for Monday. The cabinet was formed after extensive discussions among allies of the United Democratic Front (UDF), prioritizing social and regional representation. Satheesan will take on the dual role of Chief Minister and Finance Minister, while Ramesh Chennithala will be the Home Minister. Notably, the cabinet includes senior Congress figures such as KPCC Chief Sunny Joseph and K. Muraleedharan. In total, the Congress party has nominated several ministers, including AP Anilkumar, PC Vishnunadh, and others, with KA Thulasi being one of the two women ministers.
