The Ministry of Railways has taken significant steps to improve crowd management at New Delhi Railway Station by installing turnstile gates at exit points, specifically at Gate number 9 on the Ajmeri Gate side. This initiative aims to streamline passenger movement, especially during peak travel times. The station will feature separate entry points for reserved and unreserved passengers, facilitating smoother access. Additionally, a QR code-based entry management system is set to be implemented to regulate access based on valid tickets, ensuring better segregation of passenger categories ahead of the busy festival season, including Diwali and Chhath. To further enhance security, the installation of AI cameras throughout the station is planned, which will monitor all areas and alert staff to any unusual activities in real time. New signage is also being introduced to improve overall passenger convenience.
