The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has released the results for the Class 10 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination, showing an overall pass percentage of 92.09%, which is a 2.01% decline from last year's 94.1%. The examination took place from February 20 to March 18, 2026, across nine divisional centres in Maharashtra. The Pune division stood out with a 94.24% pass rate, and girls continued to outperform boys, achieving a 94.96% pass rate compared to 89.56% for boys. A total of 1,555,026 students registered for the exam, with 1,420,486 passing. Notably, 179 students achieved perfect scores, with the Latur division leading with 104 perfect scorers. The board implemented stricter anti-malpractice measures, resulting in 402 recorded cases of malpractice across the state, including 42 cases from the Pune division. Chairman Trigun Kulkarni emphasized that these measures contributed to the decline in the overall pass percentage, as the board aimed to maintain integrity in the examination process.
