The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has confirmed a seat-sharing arrangement with the Congress party for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections, with JMM nominating Baidyanath Ram and Congress selecting Pranav Jha for the two available seats in Jharkhand. JMM leader Manoj Pandey highlighted Chief Minister Hemant Soren's commitment to coalition spirit, noting that despite initial intentions to field candidates for both seats, the decision was made to respect the alliance with Congress. During a recent meeting, Soren urged party members to remain united and actively engage in the election process, reinforcing the need for organizational coordination to secure victory. JMM MP Sarfaraz Ahmed confirmed that there is consensus on the candidates and that both will file their nominations together. The Rajya Sabha elections are set for June 18, with the last date for nominations being June 8, amidst a broader election schedule across several states.
