On Sunday, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren convened a crucial meeting with ministers and MLAs from the ruling coalition to discuss strategies for the upcoming 2026 Rajya Sabha elections. Soren urged all public representatives to unite and actively engage in the electoral process, issuing guidelines aimed at enhancing organizational coordination to secure victories for the ruling party's candidates. Following the meeting, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MP Sarfaraz Ahmed confirmed a consensus within the party regarding the candidates, stating that both alliance candidates would file their nominations together. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Sanjay Prasad Yadav highlighted the collaborative efforts of the 'Mahagathbandhan,' emphasizing the focus on ensuring electoral success. Congress leader Radha Krishna Kishore reiterated the unity among the Grand Alliance, asserting that both candidates would receive the support of Mahagathbandhan voters. The nomination process is set to take place today at 10 AM, with all parties expected to proceed together to reinforce their collective strength.
