Park Medi World Limited has made a strategic entry into the Uttarakhand healthcare market by acquiring The Medicity Hospital in Rudrapur for approximately ₹177 crore. This acquisition is part of the company's broader strategy to enhance its footprint across North India, particularly in underserved healthcare markets. The Medicity Hospital, which is a multi-speciality facility with a capacity of 330 beds, is recognized for its modern medical infrastructure and is among the NABH-accredited hospitals in the Kumaon region. The hospital occupies around 7,000 square metres of land and features approximately 1.64 lakh square feet of covered area. Ankit Gupta, Managing Director of Park Medi World, emphasized that this acquisition is a significant milestone in their plan to build a comprehensive healthcare network across North India. The company intends to leverage this acquisition to improve operational efficiency, increase bed utilization, and expand healthcare services, thereby strengthening its regional presence and financial performance over the medium to long term.
