Civic activists and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are urging an investigation into corruption allegations against two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, Rohini Chimate and Rajashree Kale. The call for inquiry follows a heated exchange at the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) regarding a women's hostel project in Baner, where Kale accused Chimate of demanding a commission from the contractor, leading to delays in the project. Civic activist Vijay Kumbhar emphasized that the allegations indicate potential corruption and urged the municipal commissioner to initiate an inquiry. AAP leader Mukund Kirdat echoed this sentiment, highlighting the need for a thorough investigation into the claims made by the ruling party leaders.
