A significant political controversy has erupted in Hyderabad, Telangana, following the filing of a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against Bhagirath Sai, the son of Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs. The case was registered by the Pet Basheerabad police based on allegations from the family of a minor girl. In response, Bhagirath Sai filed a counter-complaint in Karimnagar, alleging extortion attempts by the girl's family.
