K.T. Rama Rao (working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi) has publicly questioned both the BJP-led Central Government and the Congress-led Telangana government regarding the handling of a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case involving the son of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar. In his statement, Rao criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Beti Bachao' campaign, suggesting it is merely a slogan. He demanded the immediate resignation or dismissal of Sanjay Kumar, citing an unusual delay in legal action against his son. Rao also accused the Congress government of failing to provide justice to the victim and instead harassing her family. He highlighted the delay in registering the First Information Report (FIR) and questioned the police's failure to act despite evidence presented by the minor girl. Furthermore, he challenged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to show support for the victim in Telangana, similar to his actions in other regions. Rao alleged a collusion between the BJP and Congress, claiming that the Telangana government operates like a 'BJP franchise.'
