In a tragic incident in Faridabad, Haryana, India, 27-year-old Viresh Kumar, also known as Nanhe, was fatally stabbed by five assailants after he failed to repay a loan. The attack occurred on Monday while Viresh was conversing with his brother, Mukesh Kumar, near their home. The attackers, who arrived in an i20 car, assaulted him with metal rods and sticks, with one assailant using an icepick to stab him multiple times in the chest, abdomen, and neck. Viresh was initially rushed to a local hospital, then transferred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi, where he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday. Following the incident, police registered a murder case based on Mukesh's complaint. The assistant commissioner of police, Varun Kumar Dahiya, reported that one of the attackers was arrested on Tuesday, and subsequent arrests of his associates followed. Viresh, who was unemployed, had a history of borrowing small amounts from the money lender, typically between ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 (approximately $60 to $120 USD). The police are currently searching for the money lender, who fled the scene after the incident.
