On Sunday evening, officials from Israel's Health Ministry's High Hospitalization Authority met to discuss the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda. The meeting, as reported by Ministry spokesperson Shira Solomon, reviewed updates from the World Health Organization (WHO) and assessed existing health system procedures. The Ministry reassured that the risk of an Ebola outbreak in Israel is low, with no known cases currently present. According to the WHO, there are 906 suspected Ebola cases and 223 suspected deaths in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, while Uganda has reported nine confirmed cases and a total of 134 cases across both countries.
