During a recent Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) meeting in Visakhapatnam, District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore emphasized the importance of addressing grievances effectively. A total of 348 petitions were submitted, covering a range of issues such as land disputes, employment, welfare schemes, income certificates, house sites, drinking water supply, and pensions. The petitions were directed to various departments, with 35 for the Revenue Department, 76 for the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), 27 for the Police Department, and 210 for other departments. Collector Kishore instructed department heads to ensure that complaints are resolved satisfactorily and within a specified timeframe, highlighting the need for proper endorsements to be provided to complainants after their issues are addressed. Joint Collector Gobbilla Vidhyadhari and other officials were present during the review of grievances.
