The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) has fixed the user development fee (UDF) for the Noida International Airport (NIA), set to commence operations on June 15, 2026. Departing domestic passengers will pay ₹490, while international passengers will incur a fee of ₹980. This fee is lower than the amounts proposed by the airport operator, Yamuna International Airport Pvt Ltd (YIAPL), which sought ₹653 for domestic and ₹1,200 for international passengers. For arriving passengers, the UDF is ₹210 for domestic and ₹420 for international flights. AERA has also introduced a Variable Tariff Plan (VTP) to encourage airlines to expand their routes, with landing charges starting at ₹725 per Metric Tonne for domestic flights. By 2030-31, the UDF will increase to ₹693 for domestic and ₹1,461 for international passengers. The airport, which will be developed in four phases, aims to ultimately handle 70 million passengers annually.
