Spring & Mulberry, a chocolate manufacturer based in North Carolina, has expanded its recall of chocolate bars to include all 12 flavors due to concerns over possible Salmonella contamination. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) identified a specific lot of dates as the likely source of the contamination. This latest recall follows an earlier update in January that initially affected eight products, including flavors like Mint Leaf and Earl Grey. The newly added flavors in the recall include Blood Orange, Coffee, Pure Dark, and Sea Salt. Although all recalled products have tested negative for Salmonella and no illnesses have been reported, consumers who purchased any of the affected items are urged to dispose of them immediately. To obtain a refund, customers can email Spring & Mulberry with a photo of the product packaging displaying the batch code. Salmonella can lead to severe infections, particularly in young children and individuals with weakened immune systems.
