On Saturday, a Nashik court denied Nida Khan's pre-arrest bail plea in connection with a case involving allegations of sexual harassment and forced religious conversion at the Nashik unit of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The court, presided over by Additional Sessions Judge KG Joshi, found the prosecution's allegations against Khan to be serious, warranting her custodial interrogation. The case stems from a complaint lodged on March 26 by a female employee at the Devlali police station, who accused Khan, along with Danish Sheikh and Tausif Attar, of various offenses including rape and harassment. The prosecution claims Khan played a key role in the conspiracy, including changing the complainant's name and influencing her religious practices. Khan's defense argued that there is no specific law against religious conversion in Maharashtra and plans to appeal to the Bombay High Court for anticipatory bail. Meanwhile, investigations continue as the police have arrested seven of the accused, with Khan still at large.
