The Chandigarh Administration has announced a shift from Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) to Piped Natural Gas (PNG) amid the ongoing energy crisis caused by the conflict in West Asia. Residents are advised to make this transition immediately, as LPG will be discontinued within three months in areas where PNG infrastructure is available. Currently, PNG is fully operational in Sectors 32 to 38, 40, 42 to 44, 46, and 48 to 51, while partial availability exists in Sectors 10, 11, 17, 22, 26, 28, 30, 41, 47, Manimajra, and Industrial Area Phase I & II. The administration emphasized the benefits of PNG, including convenience, safety, and cost-effectiveness, as it eliminates the need for cylinder refills and offers a continuous supply through pipelines.
