In response to a recent fatal hotel fire in Delhi, authorities in Lucknow have launched a comprehensive fire safety audit targeting high-occupancy buildings such as hotels, restaurants, malls, and apartments. Over the past two days, the Lucknow Fire Department conducted inspections, and the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) joined the effort on Saturday. A total of 29 establishments were audited, focusing on the availability and functionality of fire safety equipment including extinguishers, hydrants, and smoke detectors.
