In a groundbreaking event at the Beijing half-marathon, the humanoid robot named Lightning completed the 21-kilometre race in 50 minutes and 26 seconds, outpacing the human world record of 57 minutes and 20 seconds held by Ugandan runner Jacob Kiplimo.
