The Lucknow Police have successfully apprehended three individuals from a gang of eunuchs involved in extorting money and valuables from women. The suspects, Ajay Rawat (alias Rani), Aakash Gupta (alias Kamoulika), and Rafiq Ahmad, were arrested within 24 hours of a robbery in the Bijnor Police Station area. The gang allegedly exploited their identity to intimidate victims, particularly women, into handing over cash or jewellery by claiming there was a marriage in their home. If victims refused, they resorted to obscene behavior, including public nudity, to create panic and embarrassment, leading to theft. The police managed to track the gang after reviewing CCTV footage from various locations. They were arrested at the Alinagar Khurd underpass, where police recovered a mangalsutra and two pairs of earrings, as well as a WagonR car used in the crimes. The gang's last robbery involved two women out for a morning walk. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, with additional charges applied following the recovery of the stolen items.
