This decision aligns with a commitment made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Adhikari also revealed that the Ayushman Bharat health scheme, previously blocked by the former government led by Mamata Banerjee, will be implemented immediately. The Chief Minister emphasized that the census work would begin promptly to support women's reservation initiatives. Additionally, a fact-finding committee will be established to investigate the Abhaya case. He assured that all existing social welfare schemes from the previous administration would remain operational, and the government aims to operate as a 'paperless office' with enhanced transparency in direct benefit transfers.
