Fortunately, the motorman noticed the situation and applied the brakes, stopping the train approximately 100-130 meters before a potential crash. This error led to a 20-25 minute disruption of services between platforms 5 and 8, causing overcrowding and commuters spilling onto the tracks. The station master responsible for the routing error has been suspended pending an inquiry.
