Burncoat High School, located in Worcester, Massachusetts, is embarking on a feasibility study that may span 5 to 7 years to assess the potential for a new school construction project. This initiative, in collaboration with the Massachusetts School Building Authority, the City of Worcester, and Worcester Public Schools, aims to evaluate options for improving or possibly replacing the existing facilities on Burncoat Street. A significant focus of the study will be whether to consolidate grades 7 through 12 into a single facility, enhancing educational programming that currently includes performing and visual arts for grades 9-12 at Burncoat High School and grades 7-8 at Burncoat Middle School. Community engagement is a key component of this process, with residents invited to participate in a Community Visioning Input Session on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Burncoat High School.
