One week after the cabinet expansion in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has allocated portfolios to the newly inducted ministers. This marks the second expansion of the Adityanath 2.0 cabinet, which occurred on May 10, when two cabinet ministers and four state ministers were added. Among the newly appointed cabinet ministers, Bhupendra Chaudhary, the former president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh, has been assigned the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) ministry. Meanwhile, Manoj Kumar Pandey, a former member of the Samajwadi Party, will oversee the food and civil supplies department. Additionally, two state ministers, Ajit Pal Singh and Somendra Tomar, have been promoted to independent charge, taking on the ministries of food security and drug administration and political pension and Sainik Kalyan Prantiya Raksha Dal, respectively. Four new state ministers have also been appointed: Krishna Paswan for animal husbandry and dairy development, Surendra Diler for revenue, Hansraj Vishwakarma for MSME, and Kailash Rajput for energy and additional energy sources.
