The Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) announced the results of the engineering and medical entrance exams on Friday. In the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) group, Arghyajyoti Saha secured the top position with 191 marks, followed by Animesh Sarkar and Akash Chaudhuri with 178 and 175 marks, respectively. In the Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) group, Baibhab Roy achieved the highest score of 299 marks, with Akash Chaudhuri and Arnab Mitra following closely behind with 282 and 278 marks. This year, a total of 4,731 candidates applied for the exams, with 1,864 appearing for the PCM group and 3,873 for the PCB group. For the first time, a cut-off mark of 10 out of 360 was introduced, resulting in the exclusion of 119 candidates from the PCM merit list and 189 from the PCB list for failing to meet this threshold. The TBJEE chairman announced that online registration for counselling will open shortly, allowing candidates to select their preferred institutes.
