Tristin Holliwell, a fourth-grade student at Terry Fox Elementary School in Barrie, Ontario, has successfully raised $1,640 through a creative business idea involving shirt sales at Giant Tiger, a local store. For a school assignment in December 2025, Holliwell pitched a humorous concept to the Giant Tiger located on Cundles Road, suggesting they sell shirts featuring an angel fish wearing a cowboy hat. This amusing design caught the attention of store owner Jamal Jarboua, who decided to bring the idea to life. With the assistance of artificial intelligence, the final logo was created, and 1,000 shirts were printed and made available for purchase. The Simcoe County District School Board announced that Jarboua returned to Holliwell’s class to present a cheque for the funds raised. The money will be allocated to support various field trips and activities for the students. Jarboua expressed his excitement about the project, stating, “It’s such a great feeling to see how something like this can come together and give back to the community in a meaningful way.” He also hopes to invite Holliwell and his classmates for a visit to the store in the future.
