Infosys, a major IT services company, has announced plans to establish a 20-acre campus in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India, designed to accommodate 7,000 professionals. This decision underscores the company's confidence in the region's economic and technological potential. Over the past two years, Infosys has expanded its workforce in Visakhapatnam from 250 employees to 1,900, with an additional 750 seats expected to become operational soon. The company's growth reflects its commitment to integrating with the local talent ecosystem, having recruited over 1,000 freshers and 500 lateral hires from the region. IT Minister Nara Lokesh emphasized that the expansion is a testament to the strength of local talent and the collaborative efforts of industry, academia, and government in building a vibrant ecosystem.
