Delhi's metro network is undergoing a significant expansion, introducing seven new corridors that will span over 97 kilometers and include 65 stations. The project, estimated to cost ₹48,204.56 crore (approximately $5.8 billion USD), aims to enhance connectivity in the city, particularly in its rapidly developing outskirts. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that four of these corridors have been prioritized for completion by 2029. The corridors include the Dhansa-Nangloi Corridor, which will connect Dhansa Bus Stand in Najafgarh to Nangloi, and the Secretariat-Kishangarh Corridor, which will primarily run underground. Other corridors include the Badli-Narela, Kirti Nagar-Palam, Jor Bagh-Mithapur, Shastri Park-Mayur Vihar, and Keshavpuram-Rohini Sector 34 corridors. The expansion will also introduce multiple interchange points, improving accessibility across the metro network and supporting the city's growth.
