Joni Lamb, the co-founder and president of the Daystar Television Network, passed away at the age of 65 on May 7, 2026, due to health complications stemming from a recent back injury. Born Joni Trammell in 1960, she began her ministry alongside her husband, televangelist Marcus Lamb, in the mid-1980s. The couple founded Daystar in 1993, transforming it into one of the largest Christian broadcasting networks globally, reaching millions through various platforms. Lamb was not only an executive producer but also an on-air personality, influencing evangelical teaching and worship programming. Following her husband's death from COVID-19 complications in November 2021, she remarried Dr. Doug Weiss in 2023. Lamb is survived by Weiss and her three children: Jonathan, Rachel, and Rebecca.
