Aman Arora, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state president and cabinet minister in Punjab, has publicly declared his readiness to resign from politics if any wrongdoing is proven against him in the ongoing investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The ED conducted raids on his close associate's properties as part of a money laundering probe, which Arora claims is an attempt to politically malign his reputation. He emphasized that neither he nor Gaurav Dhir, his associate, were initially named in the ED's statements, suggesting that his name was later inserted to target him. Arora criticized the ED for what he perceives as a selective approach, alleging that politically inconvenient facts were omitted from their reports. He also defended his involvement in the Altus project, asserting that all necessary approvals were obtained and that the company had cleared all dues, thus questioning the basis of the allegations against him.
