The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has confirmed Mehidy Hasan Miraz as the ODI captain until the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 and Litton Das as T20I captain through the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2028. The board also appointed Najmul Hossain Shanto and Saif Hassan as vice-captains and introduced new coaching and administrative initiatives.

During its fourth Board of Directors meeting in Dhaka, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the leadership for its national teams. Mehidy Hasan Miraz will continue as the captain of the ODI team until the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027, while Litton Das will lead the T20I team through the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2028. The BCB also appointed Najmul Hossain Shanto and Saif Hassan as vice-captains for the ODI and T20I teams, respectively. Additionally, former spinner Mohammad Rafique has been appointed as a specialist spin-bowling coach for a one-year term. The BCB is also modernizing the game by introducing a new Human Resources policy and launching digital platforms like the Player Data App and Cloud Server App to enhance performance analysis. Furthermore, the BCB plans to reintroduce its Annual Awards Programme to recognize outstanding contributions in cricket and will establish a scholarship program for sports journalists to promote professionalism in sports media.
