The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has rescheduled the announcement of the Second Pre-University Certificate (PUC) examination results to April 9, 2026. KSEAB chairman Prakash GT Nittali stated that the delay was caused by the deployment of staff for election duties related to by-elections in Bagalkot and Davangere. This year, the board has reduced the minimum passing marks from 35% to 30%, requiring students to secure at least 30 marks in each subject and an overall aggregate of 33% (198 out of 600 marks) to pass. The examinations took place from February 28 to March 17, 2026, with 7,10,363 candidates registered, including 6,46,801 fresh candidates, 50,540 repeaters, and 13,022 private candidates. The Science stream attracted the highest number of candidates at 2,92,645, followed by Commerce with 2,11,174 and Arts with 1,42,982 candidates.
