Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a significant recruitment drive, aiming to hire over 81,000 personnel for the state police this year. Additionally, the chief minister highlighted the need for strategic planning in police response vehicles and reducing response times to emergencies. A comprehensive campaign is also set to be launched to raise awareness about cyber safety and enhance the effectiveness of the Cyber Helpline 1930, which has seen a significant increase in call handling capacity. The overall focus is on creating a capable and accountable police force that instills public confidence.
