She criticized opposition leader Edappadi K Palaniswami for only engaging with the public during elections and for his ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Kanimozhi also raised concerns about the Union government's withholding of ₹3,600 crore (approximately $432 million USD) in education funding for Tamil Nadu, while providing support to other states. She pointed out that many central government schemes are named in Hindi, making them less accessible to Tamil speakers. The DMK promises to enhance welfare initiatives, including increasing financial assistance for college students from ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 if they return to power. Kanimozhi urged voters to support the DMK and its candidates, emphasizing the importance of the party's welfare schemes.
