Chennai Super Kings (CSK) legend MS Dhoni is preparing for a crucial fitness test that will determine his participation in the IPL 2026 match against the Delhi Capitals (DC) on April 11. Dhoni has been absent from the season so far due to a calf injury sustained before the campaign began. Initially, the franchise indicated that he would miss the first two weeks of the tournament. CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad mentioned during a toss that Dhoni is recovering slowly and may return soon if he is fit to play. Reports suggest that the franchise is not rushing his return, allowing him time to fully recover. CSK has struggled without Dhoni, losing their first three matches and currently sitting at the bottom of the league table with a net run-rate of -2.517. In his absence, wicket-keeping duties have been handled by Sanju Samson, with Kartik Sharma also featuring in the playing XI.
