The Rajasthan education department has mandated the formation of three-member committees to inspect private schools across the state. This initiative follows reports of unauthorized demands for fees, uniforms, and other purchases made by certain private institutions. The inspections, led by chief block education officers, are to be completed by April 15, with consolidated reports submitted by April 20. Parents have voiced their frustration, claiming that despite previous orders from the Rajasthan High Court and state government, private schools continue to raise fees annually. Piyush Goyal, a parent, highlighted the ongoing struggle against these hikes, stating that families are left with no choice but to comply. Abhishek Jain Bittu, a spokesperson for the Sanyukta Abhibhavak Sangh, emphasized the need for the Fee Act to be enforced to curb arbitrary fee increases by schools.
