The Delhi Police special cell conducted two significant operations between April 3 and April 13, resulting in the arrest of four gang members linked to the Himanshu Bhau and Hashim Baba gangs. In a shootout in Baprola, two members of the Himanshu Bhau gang, identified as Atul and Deepak, both in their 20s, were arrested. They were wanted for the murder of a retired Delhi Police official in Bakkarwala earlier this year and suffered gunshot wounds to their legs during the encounter. Additionally, a hitman from the Hashim Baba gang, Shadab Ahmad, 28, was arrested in northeast Delhi. Ahmad, who had been on the run for two years, is the nephew of jailed gangster Suhail Chappal. A loaded semi-automatic pistol and five cartridges were seized from him. Another gang member, Mohammad Adi alias Adil, 24, was arrested earlier on April 3, with a pistol and six cartridges found in his possession. Police indicated that Adil was involved in identifying targets for extortion on behalf of jailed gang leaders.
