During the 15th convocation of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar asserted that India has emerged as a resilient global power, effectively navigating significant challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, ongoing global conflicts, and climate change. He noted that these disruptions have profoundly impacted daily life, but India's response has solidified its position among the world's top five economies. Jaishankar highlighted the importance of building national capabilities to ensure self-reliance, particularly in light of shifting global dynamics. He referenced the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative, which aims to enhance India's food, health, energy, and national security. The minister also discussed the evolving role of India's foreign policy, which is increasingly focused on securing resources and promoting 'Brand India' globally. He encouraged the graduating class to leverage the advancements in technology and information access to contribute to India's development goals.
