A local court in Nashik, Maharashtra, India, has extended the police custody of a female HR manager from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) until April 15 as part of an investigation into serious allegations. Eight female employees have accused their senior colleagues of sexual harassment and attempts at forced religious conversion. The police formed a special investigation team (SIT) to delve into these complaints, which were reportedly overlooked by the HR department. Following these allegations, the police have arrested eight individuals, including the HR manager and several senior colleagues. The Assistant Public Prosecutor Aniket Awhad requested the custody extension to facilitate a thorough investigation. TCS has stated its commitment to a zero-tolerance policy regarding harassment, confirming that the involved employees have been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation. The company is cooperating fully with local law enforcement.
