Delhi Police have dismantled a fake call centre operating in Govindpuri, South Delhi, arresting 11 individuals, including two alleged kingpins, Sandeep Chaudhary and Ashwini Kumar alias Tushar. The gang had been active for a year, reportedly defrauding hundreds of people by promoting healthcare products, particularly weight loss supplements, through Instagram advertisements. Victims claimed they were lured into making payments for products that were never delivered or were coerced into making additional payments under false pretenses. Following a tip-off in March regarding a victim from Gurugram who lost ₹13,000 (approximately $160 USD), police initiated an investigation. During a raid, authorities seized 35 mobile phones, laptops, and bank-related documents, uncovering a total of 32 employees at the call centre. While 11 men were arrested, police detained 21 females for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.
