Kashmir police have made significant strides in combating drug trafficking, arresting 14 individuals involved in the narcotics trade and recovering over 13 kg of illegal substances. Operations took place across various districts, including Anantnag, Kulgam, and Pulwama. In Anantnag, police raided the home of Fayaz Ahmad Dar, seizing 3 kg 99 gm of charas and arresting both Dar and his son. Additional arrests included two men caught with 488 gm of charas in a vehicle and another individual found with 106 gm of charas sticks. In Kulgam, police apprehended several suspects, recovering cash and various amounts of charas and heroin. The operations have exposed a broader narcotics supply chain in the region, with police actively investigating further connections. The crackdown also led to the sealing of a medical shop for failing to comply with regulations regarding the sale of controlled substances.
