Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reaffirmed his support for factory workers protesting in Noida for a salary increase. He urged them to recall the assistance provided by the 'double-engine' government during the COVID-19 pandemic and warned against those inciting unrest. In response to the protests, the Uttar Pradesh government has established a high-powered committee to address the workers' concerns. During a public address in Muzaffarnagar, Adityanath inaugurated 423 development projects valued at over ₹951 crore (approximately $115 million USD), emphasizing the government's commitment to regional development and employment opportunities. He also highlighted the establishment of a corporation aimed at ensuring minimum honorariums for workers, which will be directly deposited into their bank accounts. Adityanath contrasted the situation in India with that in neighboring Pakistan, where he claimed citizens are struggling for basic necessities. He reiterated the government's dedication to providing security for both workers and entrepreneurs, while promoting direct dialogue between them.
