The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the final answer keys for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2025 session, following directives from the Delhi High Court. The initial answer keys were incomplete, only covering select subjects like History, Economics, Education, Commerce, and Hindi. In the revised keys, four questions from the History subject have been dropped, while three questions now have two correct responses. The Commerce paper, conducted on January 3, 2026, also saw three questions removed and one question with two correct answers. The Economics and Education papers maintained their original questions with no changes. The UGC NET 2026 was conducted from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026, and provisional answer keys were released on January 14, 2026. The legal dispute arose when student Kartikeya Kahol contested specific question IDs, prompting the court's involvement. Approximately 60,777 candidates took the History paper, with results announced on February 4, 2026.
