Reddy emphasized that the people of Tamil Nadu are against 'family rule, corruption, and anti-democratic decisions' and are demanding a governance model that prioritizes development and job creation. Piyush Goyal, another Union Minister, criticized the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government, calling it corrupt and harmful to the state's citizens. The assembly elections are scheduled for April 23, with results to be announced on May 4. The main contest will be between the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance and the NDA, which includes the AIADMK, BJP, and Pattali Makkal Katchi as allies.
